many things...

It seems that I have been a little bit busy.
Commitments at work. Writing for a conference.
Neglecting the blog. But I am always here.

Today

Walked through the streets. Walked through the parks. My place is truly beautiful.

Dreaming of New York. Listening to Jazz and swinging in the breeze.

One Year!

via 16 House

Happy Birthday Blog! To celebrate, I made some mini cupcakes and took them to work today to share.

Part of me is not sure where the past year went. A few achievements, a holiday overseas and a move interstate. Somewhere in there I have managed to blog for one year. I wasn't sure if I would keep it up but I am so happy, celebrating with balloons, that I did. I have enjoyed reading so many crafty, design and inspirational blogs. Also receiving your comments, meeting new friends and being able to participate in charitable causes. Here is to another year, Ames xo

Time to relax..

Image via 16 House

The past couple of weeks have been very busy. Busy at work. Unwell with swollen cartilage in my chest from excessive coughing. Family staying. We also have more visitors arriving so the house has to be cleaned again.

I have missed my blog reading this week. Doing a quick catch up now. I look forward to a few moments of relaxation tomorrow and think I need a chair near our floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the view.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend xo Ames xo

Walls for the wind, a roof for the rain,
and drinks beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you and those you love near you,
and all that your heart may desire!

a Mum that means the world to me.

This rose is from a bush growing over an arbour in our garden.

Moving madness

The move has gone ahead without a hitch.
There is still lots of unpacking to do, not to mention exploring.
Planning on buying some flowers on my way home today to brighten up the new kitchen.

    Why pink?

    "The Gloaming" painting by Ames

We have changed the background of our blog to pink this week as we have been thinking about cancer. In Australia, pink reminds us of cancer as it has widely become known as the colour for breast cancer awareness. We think pink should remind us all of those we know or know of that have suffered the impact of cancer. Take a moment to think...
