Laa Laa Swap

A little while ago, I signed up for LaaLaa's Magic Ball swap. The aim of the game was to put together a group of gifts, crafty things and sweets and roll them up in some yarn. You are assigned a swap partner who does the same and then you exchange.

I posted mine awhile back and didn't want to share it on the blog till it arrived. No time to spoil the surprise. This is what I put together for Cindarell@ who likes bright colours.

Very happy to report that I have received my magic ball in the mail - all the way from Holland. Thank you Cinderella!

There was no way that Mayo, one of the cats, was going to let me enjoy unwrapping the ball without his involvement!

I am feeling very lucky indeed. I especially love the dragonfly ribbon and the babushka. Now to think of some projects to use my goodies...

Happy Mid Week

I haven't done a Happy Monday post for a little while...

I have a few links to share so on a similar theme to Happy Monday, I hope you are all having a Happy Mid Week. Enjoy :)

1. Interactive art installation by Slovakian artist Roman Ondák via 16 House. Participants are encouraged to record their height on the wall. From afar, dots in the wind. Up close, lives taking part.
2. Jennifer from Playing with Fire has an amazing portrait giveaway which ends this week. I particularly love her Twin Peaks portraits which are featured on the blog post. Why not enter and see if you can have your portrait stitched?
3. Sarah London's book will be released soon, entitled Granny Square Love. Looking forward to it.
4. A cute crochet watch band over at kootoyoo.
5. A tutorial for friendship bracelets via Bugs and Fishes by Lupin.

I feel like it is my birthday! I have just realised that we are one of the lucky winners of a giveaway over at yarn round hook.  Victoria was giving away two crochet books and our names were drawn out to receive Kyuuto! This is an amazing giveaway over at Madeleine's blog called Yarn Madness. In fact I think it is one of the best I have seen in blog land. There is something for everyone and it includes a book! I will be entering. It is also a great blog to follow if you are someone that likes to work with yarn. The cat mittens and squirrel hat projects are particular favourites of mine. Go and check it out!
